My wife's name is Elizabeth. I was born in Bari.

My grandmothers (Silvia Beltrante) maiden names was Pologruto from Calabrese - my grandfather side of the family (Beltrante) from the northern Italy. My grandmother said she also has family in Austria.

My father was born and raised in Casamassima. I went there this summer for my cousins wedding. Been there a few times when I was a kid also. Very beautiful town. Most of my fathers family is still there. My grandfather is buried there along with my great parents and many other family members. Recommend going to this area if you visit Italy.

My Godfather Dominic has told me stories of Bari..he was quite young when he came to America... My grandfather came first...got a job then sent for his wife (Catherine CampanaleCasamassima) and son. Researching family--nonno "Francesco Nicolini" and "Rosa Sparacino." Both born 1892-1896, migrated to USA, married in 1918. Departed from ports of LeHavre (possibly Genoa). Francesco came to USA 1915 at age of 18-23 years old and was a tailor. Would like info on them as well as great-grandparents. Thanks. Ciao.

Unfortunately the surname Romanelli is very common throughout italy.
You also stated that you are from the region. If you mean the region of Puglia, then be informed that there are hundreds if not thousands of towns in Puglia.
It would help to know the name of the town your paternal ansestors originated from.
